Paediatric Services

NOTE: We are currently working to increase our staff for our paedeatric services.

We specialize in providing a holistic approach in services for children and youth through comprehensive assessments, ongoing therapy sessions alongside with parent/teacher consultation. Through the services above, we are able to identify challenges for the family, effectively shape an understanding of the child’s strengths and weaknesses, collaborate with your other healthcare professionals to develop a practical treatment plan.

Our services include assessment, treatment and consultation in:

  • Gross-motor Skills (e.g. balance issues, vestibular and proprioceptive issues…)
  • Fine Motor Skills (e.g. hand strength, hand grip…)
  • Visual Motor Integration Skills affecting Handwriting Skills
  • Self-help Skills (e.g. feeding, eating, brushing teeth, dressing…)
  • Sensory Processing Skills
  • Socioemotional Learning
  • And many more…

We are able to provide services for children diagnosed with Autism under the age of six as we have OTs approved under the Registry for Autism Service Providers (RASP). Other fundings include the following:

  • Autism Funding – ages 6-19 years
  • At Home Program (School-Aged Extended Therapies)
  • Variety – The Children’s Charity of BC
  • Extended Health Care Plans
  • CKNW Kids’ Fund
  • Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) – dependent on injuries originating from an MVA
  • Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP)
  • Private Pay etc.

NOTE: Please be aware though that Ministry does not fund/pay one-time assessments unless ongoing therapy sessions will also be chosen with this company.
